Red Roof PLUS+ Nashville Review with Pets

During our road trip to BlogPaws in Kansas City, we stopped overnight in Nashville for a break. I decided to stay at the Red Roof PLUS+ since I knew it was both pet friendly and affordable. This was my first experience staying with Red Roof.

Red Roof PLUS+ Nashville

The check in process was very easy. We arrived around 5pm and I left the windows cracked for the dogs in the car and went into the lobby area. The staff at this Red Roof PLUS+ location was very friendly throughout my stay.

The rooms at this location are outside, which I found very convenient for unloading my car. I was on the bottom level and parked in front of my room and brought all my bags in. The room was very nice and clean. Everything looked modern and updated. There was a TV with the channels listed, a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a safe. The bathroom was small, but clean. They also had four different pillows on the bed, labeled soft and firm so that you could pick the kind of pillow you like to sleep with. I thought that was a nice touch.

There was some grass nearby where I walked the dogs to use the bathroom. On one side of the Red Roof PLUS+, there were some doggy bags you could use, but on my side there was not any. I brought my own so that I could clean up after my dogs. I would suggest, if you are planning on staying at the Red Roof PLUS+ in Nashville, to bring your own doggy bags just in case.

Dog Parks in the Area

While we were in Nashville, we of course had to visit some dog parks. The Two Rivers Dog Park was a short drive from the inn and was a great place to take the dogs to run some energy off. Two Rivers Dog Park is a huge fenced in dog park for dogs of all sizes with walking paths, fields, woods, and bushes for your dog to explore. Many people were walking around the paths and their dogs were following. I really enjoyed this since I do not trust my huskies off leash without a fence. We got to experience walking together with no leashes. Echo and Yoshi really enjoyed the freedom to sniff around and explore. Echo did stop to play with some other dogs in a field and Yoshi found a little boy he liked that he followed around for a while. We spent about two hours at this park because there was just so much to do and explore. If you are staying in Nashville with your dog, I would highly suggest checking it out!

We also visited the Percy Priest Dam Dog Park. This one was also nice and very clean. However, it is not as big as the Two Rivers Dog Park and not nearly as busy. This park may be a good option if you like less crowded dog parks. Dogs of all sizes were together in this park as well.

Final Thoughts

The Red Roof PLUS+ did offer breakfast, but I was not hungry and just got coffee. There is also a Panera Bread Company right next door, so you could also walk over there for breakfast or even lunch or dinner.

I honestly really enjoyed my experience at this Red Roof PLUS+ and would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Nashville. Pets stay for free and they have free wifi, which are two big pluses for me. I was really impressed at how friendly all of the staff was too. As a young woman traveling alone, I also felt safe staying here, which is a major factor for me. I would recommend Red Roof PLUS+ in Nashville to anyone looking for an affordable and pet friendly place to stay!

  1. It was so fun seeing you and your gorgeous huskies at BlogPaws. Sounds like the perfect spot for you and the dogs. I enjoyed staying at the Red Roof Inn in Orlando in March for Global Pet Expo- no deals as everything near sold out for the event but great value. Similar pleasant staff, easy access, very convenient location, comfy bed and linens and pillows, great appliances, clean and updated, free wifi and even a nice pool.

  2. I envy your stay at a Red Roof Plus…it looks much nicer than the Red Roof Inn that I stayed in while in Cortland, New York this past weekend. What happened during my stay also prompted me to write a post about Red Roof…lol

  3. It looks like the room was nice. We were going to stay at Red Roof Inn, but the website said one pet. Since we had two dogs with us, we found a different hotel. I found afterward, that if you ask, they usually will accommodate two dogs.
