I have been a fan of Molly Mutt since first hearing about their products. With Molly Mutt’s dog bed duvets and stuff sack, you basically get to create your own dog bed. You have numerous options for the style, shape, and design of bed, plus you get to decide what goes inside the bed. I also loved that it seemed really easy to clean. You can easily take the duvet cover off and throw it in the wash. Molly Mutt also seemed like a great option for dogs with separation anxiety since you can fill the stuff sack with your old clothes or other items that have your scent.
I had the opportunity to meet the Molly Mutt team at the Global Pet Expo back in the Spring and was very excited to learn more about this product, especially since I had been wanting to try it for a while now! I am eager to share what my thoughts are on the product now that I have actually tried it out.
The Molly Mutt duvet is really well made compared to other duvets on the market. It is made with thick fabric that will last against typical wear and tear. While neither of my dogs chew on their beds, both of my dogs like to dig in their beds and Echo will get the “zoomies” and jump around on his bed. Molly Mutt does not claim to have chew proof beds, however their beds and covers seem to be a great option for dogs that do not try to chew apart their beds!
I spent a long time going through the Molly Mutt website trying to decide on what design I wanted. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to match the color scheme of a room in my house or if I wanted to get a certain style or fun pattern. I ended up deciding on the elephant parade pattern. It does not match any specific room in my house, but I am a huge fan of boho style and I thought the elephants were cute. However, had I wanted a duvet to match a certain color scheme, Molly Mutt has plenty of options to choose from!
One thing that I really love about the Molly Mutt bed is that the level of firmness is easily adjustable. You can put whatever you want inside the bed and you can change what is inside at any time. If you have an older dog that needs more support, you can add in a memory foam or therapeutic dog bed or if you have a dog with anxiety you can add in some of your old clothes with your scent to help calm your dog. For my dogs, I just stuffed it with a plain dog bed that was not very stylish on the outside that had previously been in Gracie’s crate. Both dogs seem to like the bed and will lay on it, however I am considering adding in extra stuffing to make it a little more comfy.
Overall, Molly Mutt’s duvet and stuff sack definitely met my expectations of what I was hoping them to be. I love the cute style options and would order more duvet covers from them in the future.
