Isle of Dogs Shampoo and Treat review

Both Echo and Gracie have very healthy and shiny coats, so taking care of their coats by picking the right shampoo is something that is important to me. Gracie in particular likes to dig and roll in dirt. It is a constant struggle to keep her clean and looking fresh, however I can tell she feels better after a bath and brush out. I was very excited when Isle of Dogs contacted me about trying out some of their outer beauty and inner wellness products! They asked that I try their Everyday NaturaLuxury Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as their Daily Essentials treats for teeth and breath. Both of these products are natural and I was happy with their ingredient list, so I decided to give them a try with Echo and Gracie!

What do I look for in a shampoo or conditioner for my dogs? I like to use shampoos that add volume on Gracie to give her coat that extra bounce and plush feel. For Echo, I prefer a shampoo that will make his coat feel soft and silky. If you bathe your dog often, it is important to pick a shampoo that is free of any harsh chemicals that could dry out their coat and skin. I feel sulfates and parabens should always be avoided in dog shampoo, however many pet shampoos contain these chemicals. I also enjoy a long lasting scent in a shampoo or conditioner, so that the dogs stay smelling fresh for days after their bath.

What did I like about the Isle of Dogs’ Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner? The Isle of Dogs’ shampoo and conditioner is sulfate and paraben free and has added keratin in it. Keratin is a protein that helps to strengthen hair, add shine, and build volume. I did notice that Gracie’s coat had extra volume and shine after using the Isle of Dogs’ shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner also helped to loosen up her undercoat so that I was able to brush it out more easily. The scent is described as violet and sea mist, which I thought smelled very nice and refreshing. I noticed the scent lasted for several days too!

What about the Daily Essential treats? The Daily Essential treats are USA made, gluten free, vegetarian treats. They have four different varieties- one for puppies, one for hips and joints, one for skin and coat, and the one we tried, for fresh breath and healthy teeth. As you may remember, I have been working on improving Gracie’s dental health this year. I have been very happy with her results so far. However, she can still have some of the “doggy breath” that comes with bad dental health. These treats contain apples, parsley, and peppermint that help to freshen the breath and fight tarter. Not only do I approve of these treats, but Echo and Gracie liked them too! Gracie can be picky about treats, but she happily ate the Daily Essentials cookie.

I would definitely use this shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis and would recommend the Isle of Dogs Everyday NaturaLuxury shampoo line to anyone looking for a quality dog shampoo that can be used on a regular basis. I would also recommend the Daily Essential treats. I believe that these all natural treats are a much better alternative to an unhealthy dog snack. Both of my dogs liked them and they help to give them good breath!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Unquestionably believe that that you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be at the net the
easiest factor to consider of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed
whilst folks consider concerns that they just do not understand about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing with no need side-effects , folks could take a signal.
Will probably be again to get more. Thanks

  2. We have had really good luck with Isle of Dogs before, so I’m glad you have had a positive experience too. We love the light smell that is refreshing but not harsh and their natural ingredients. We haven’t tried the treats from yet, so I’m happy to hear your dogs enjoyed them!

  3. Finding a good shampoo can be surprisingly difficult! This one sounds great – I love that it is sulfate and paraben free. I need to find a good shampoo for my kitties.. will look to see if they make cat shampoos too!

  4. I am always looking for natural dog products. We’ve never tried Isle of Dogs shampoo but it looks like it does a fantastic job on Gracie and Echo’s fur! Definitely one to add to the list! I’m also intrigued by the Daily Essential Treats as, especially with Zora, we are working on both weight management and dental health as she gets older so finding a healthy treat that can help with her overall wellness without negatively impacting her weight management is great!

  5. These shampoos sound great! I like that they don’t have any of the icky ingredients that so many shampoos (even for humans) include. It looks like Gracie is really enjoying her bath in your photos. Very cute!

  6. These sound like great products, especially the shampoo. I love discovering natural products for my dogs. It was so nice meeting you & Echo at the conference! I can’t believe any Husky needs to add volume to their fur like Gracie does, LOL! Most of them have plenty of that, I know Icy sure does, LOL!!

    1. Thank you! I love finding new natural pet products too.
Gracie doesn’t *need* more volume, but I do prefer the fluffed out looked for huskies! That is how they groom Siberians for dog shows. I think it looks pretty since it does make their coat have an extra bounce, but it really is just preference 🙂 I do not groom Echo that way since he does have a longer coat than a Siberian Husky. For him, I would probably use the NaturaLuxuary Silky Oatmeal instead of the Keratin Volume.

  7. Our local Animates has a doggy wash, and it is always popular! Me? I’d plonk them in the bath and use an ecolocally sound shampoo like yours hee heee. I’d be a horrible dog mum though, I’d probbly nibble the treats, they DO look tasy enough for humans!!

  8. I heard of Isle of Dogs before; seems they have some good products. We don’t bathe our dogs too much and when we do we typically use a sulfur-based shampoo or Earth Bath. But this one looks interesting too.

  9. Gracie’s coat looks amazing! I love keratin for my own hair so it makes sense to be included into a dog shampoo. Especially with a husky coat. I bet she smelled amazing!

    1. Gracie needs frequent baths too because she is half white! She also loves to dig and roll around outside, so she is constantly getting dirty. Having a good gentle shampoo is a must for dog who need frequent baths! I am glad to hear you and Ruby enjoy Isle of Dogs too
